When Mindy reached out for me to take her new baby’s photos I was elated! Baby Miles was just 5 days old when we got him into the studio. He was our New Years baby and ready to take on the world. So there are babies that are in and out in 2 hours and then those that really make me sing for my supper. Little newborn baby Miles definitely made me sing for my supper. At only 5 days old, he was the strongest newborn boy I have ever photographed. I was shocked when he came in to my home studio in Whittier, Los Angeles and we could barely contain him in a wrap.
None the less he was so cute. I rarely get in chunky babies especially when they are just 5 days old. He was chubby cheeked and oh so adorable!!!
I love when parents and siblings join the photos. I know that you may not be feeling your best, but it is so important to show your closeness and love for the baby through beautiful family portraits. Plus… I got to shoot baby Ryan’s photos when he was a newborn too so it was so awesome to see this newborn now a 2 year old boy!
After many feeding and pooping.. and farting..LOL. We were able to get baby Miles pretty sleepy and were able to get some poses achieved!
This adorable bootie pose is one of my faves. With permission from parents I can take little cute nude poses of babies. Showing their booties and nothing more. They are some of my faves!
I love love LOVE capturing newborns’ beautiful little details. I use a macro lens to get up close and personal and Mila was absolutely angelic.
Ryan was such an adorable big brother and all he wanted to do was kiss and hold his baby brother. He was so funny and full of energy like most 2 year old boys. Because toddlers have so much energy normally I ask dad to take their toddlers out to a local park or lunch so they don’t have to hang out here while we shoot the newborn photography session, it can last up to 5 hours.
I love newborn photography where parent and siblings are looking at the baby. This photo is so sweet!
Dad, Tommy, is a firefighter so we just had to do a firefighter photo for him. Here we placed baby Miles in a basket in his dad’s firemen clothing. It was such a cute set up.
